We recommend:

The Health Insurance Act for basic insurance does not cover traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatments.

However, supplementary health insurance, e.g. supplementary insurance for complementary medicine, covers the costs of TCM.

Special treatments and the costs of medicinal herbs are largely reimbursed by this supplementary insurance.

We recommend that you clarify with your health insurance fund whether costs are covered before starting your treatment.

We are EMR/NVS/EGK/VISANA/SBO-TCM accredited, and always invoice patients directly.
